Birth Doula Support

As a birth Doula, we're here to provide continuous emotional, physical, and informational support to mothers before, during, and after childbirth. We are trained to help families connect with evidence-based resources so they can ask great questions and make informed decisions about their births. We stay with the mother through the entire labor, reminding her of her birth preferences/wishes, offering encouragement, suggesting techniques for increased comfort, keeping her space comfortable and respected, and helping to establish breastfeeding.

Other benefits of having a birth doula:

  • Decrease in the length of labor

  • Decreased incidence of cesarean birth

  • A decreased use of pain relief medication during labor

  • Nurture a more satisfying birth experience


Postpartum Doula Support

Our Postpartum Doula services are private in-home support and care. We offer breastfeeding and lactation counseling, newborn care, massage, self-care rituals, healthy home-cooked meals made fresh and ready-to-eat.

Our Postpartum Doula Services include:

  • Accompanying the new mother

  • Assistance with newborn care

  • Breast/Chest / Formula Feeding support

  • Helping to create uninterrupted bonding time

  • Allowing time for self-care

  • Postpartum massages

  • Home-cooked healthy meals

Prenatal Yoga

New mothers need to balance their bodies to make space for the baby's best birth position and to feel comfortable in their own body. Movement is essential during all stages of life, becoming a necessity during pregnancy. Yoga is a fantastic way to gently stretch the body, promote good circulation, and support natural ways to heal many pregnancy ailments.

The benefits of moving more during pregnancy begin immediately and last your whole life. Your baby will start reaping the benefits in utero, too. Regular yoga and successful re-patterning of daily movements can eliminate many discomforts and fears associated with pregnancy. Research shows that adopting the right fitness program during the nine months of pregnancy provides endless benefits to both mom and baby. We teach gentle, & restorative inspired yoga with active breathwork, inviting the mommy to become mindfully aware of the sensations of her body from the inside out and to strengthen, stretch, and move her body with intuitive intelligence.

What are the benefits of prenatal yoga?

  • Improve sleep

  • Reduce stress and anxiety

  • Increase the strength, flexibility, and endurance of muscles needed for childbirth

  • Decrease lower back pain, nausea, headaches, and shortness of breath

  • You're likely to gain less weight. Research shows you might put on 7 pounds less than pregnant women who don't work out, while still staying within range.

  • Labor and delivery may be easier. No guarantees, of course, but strong abs and a fit cardiovascular system can give you more oomph and stamina for the pushing stage.

Postpartum Yoga

Postpartum yoga is a great way to support the body’s recovery after birth. This style of practice allows you to strengthen your abdominal and pelvic floor muscles, improve posture, increase energy levels, and reduce symptoms of postpartum depression while supporting healing, relaxation and toning. It also focuses on on upper-body stretches to release tension that you may be experiencing in your shoulders from nursing, feeding and carrying your newborn. Postpartum yoga classes are appropriate for women from about four to six weeks (after doctor’s approval) postpartum.

Benefits of Postpartum Yoga:

• Strengthens the back, abdominal and pelvic floor muscles
• Releases tension in the shoulders and neck
• Helps to improve posture
• Decreases overall stress and promotes relaxation
• Provides and opportunity to connect with other mothers
